Hold Tightly To The Enduring Promises Of God … They Are Always Profoundly Fulfilled

As I have stated previously my theme focus for 2022 is, “Christ Above, Christ Alone, Christ In All … This Is Our Mandate; This Is Our Call”.

My initial focus is to reflect on the supremacy and sufficiency of Christ and what I have come to realize is that the anchor points for these profound truths are the promises that are revealed to us in the scriptures.

Old Testament promises that were made to the servants of God and New Testament promises that were made to the followers of Christ … all of them are ours to claim today.

I love the rallying cry of Hebrews 10:23 which calls out to us to commit ourselves to cling to the promises.

So now wrap your heart tightly around the hope that lives within us, knowing that God always keeps his promises! (Hebrews 10:23, The Passion Translation)

This is our call and challenge!

Hold Tightly To The Enduring Promises Of God … They Are Always Profoundly Fulfilled

This article, “Hold Fast To God’s Promises” which was posted by Bethany Christian Assembly in Everett, Washington captures this truth so well for us

“When life gets confusing and hard to understand, we need to focus steadfastly on God and His promises.”

The article then offers to us four ways to hold fast to God’s promises.

1) Never Give Up On God (Ex 11:1)
Why did Moses stay the course? He understood the promise that Where God Guides, He Provides (Heb. 11:24-29). God is at work in the needs of our lives. Never give up on Him. He will never give up on you.

2) Keep Moving Forward Knowing God Can Be Trusted (Ex 11:2-8)
Moses persevered and continued moving forward after seemingly 9 failed attempts to convince Pharaoh to let the Israelites go. At this point, he had no idea that God would part the Red Sea and bring the Israelites out of Egypt. But he knew God could be trusted.

3) Believe that God Always Wins (Ex 11:9-10)
God always wins, even when it seems like He will not. Consider the story of the Cross, the parting of the Red Sea, Daniel and the lion’s den, David vs. Goliath, and many more.

4) Offer Praise in the Middle of Your Problems (Ex 12:1-28)
The principle is that praise amidst persecution raises our faith. Praise is a prelude to vision. Praise produces hope. Praise precedes power. Praise prompts God’s power.

Hold Tightly To The Enduring Promises Of God … They Are Always Profoundly Fulfilled

It is critical that we believe this and that we become intentional about building our lives and our faith on the promises of God.

I am so enjoying being reminded of all the great and mighty promises of God and knowing that by putting our trust in them we will experience the fulness of His power and His presence.

Hold Tightly To The Enduring Promises Of God … They Are Always Profoundly Fulfilled

We can do so knowing that …

▪ they are always put into play for us
▪ they are always placed accurately
▪ they are always performed supernaturally
▪ they are always perfectly timed
▪ they are always positioned strategically
▪ they are always powerfully present

I know that this is my desire and my deepest determination … I am in, how about you?
