Easter Realities … So Much To Contemplate, Even More, To Celebrate!

This week is a week that should be filled with intentionally created moments of both contemplation and celebration.

In Christianity, the Passion is the short period in the final week of the life of Jesus beginning with His triumphal entry into Jerusalem, moving to the moment of His betrayal, ultimate arrest and the hasty trial that led to His cruel crucifixion and death … and then gave way to His glorious resurrection.

The core of our faith is centered on these realities … and this is where our primary focus should be concentrated.

Discovering ways to enrich this opportunity, is something we want to continuously pursue. Having our hearts fully awakened to embrace this Easter moment is exactly what we want!

▪ It can be a matter of revisiting the biblical account of the events that transpired in Christ’s final week. A fresh read always brings renewed awareness. If you want to capture details of the events, see this link: https://www.thoughtco.com/holy-week-timeline-700618

▪ Identifying a specific angle that you want to focus on. I have been captured this year by the Easter message of Presiding Bishop Michael Curry. You have to hear this! https://www.episcopalnewsservice.org/pressreleases/presiding-bishop-curry-easter-2019-message/

▪ Initiating something new into your celebration of Easter. Living abroad for 35 years has allowed us to have quite a list of things to enjoy. Personally, I always look forward to seeing our Easter eggs on display … quite a global representation. (see the photo below)

I want to do everything I can to assure that the power and promise of Easter never escape me!

Easter Realities … So Much To Contemplate, Even More, To Celebrate! It is not just a holiday to be celebrated with a series of events! Nor is it simply a family time to enjoy … as great as that is.

It is … and must remain more than that!

So, I am going to do my very best to make this happen … and I leave this same challenge with you.

Do your best to honor these realities!

In your life … and in all those who share life with you.

This is my prayer and desire for you,

“May you and your family be blessed as you celebrate the true meaning of

Easter, from the reflection of Good Friday to the joy of Easter Sunday and the promise of eternal life. May your life be blessed with joy and prosperity. Easter is a wonderful day to celebrate all Christ has done for us. Have a Blessed Easter!”
