A Love That Is Demonstratively Present … Will Always Be Sincere, Selfless, Sacrificial!
There is something quite impressive about anyone or anything that is “demonstratively present” … they literally impose themselves on us.

People or things that are big, bold or beautiful do capture my focus.

I have dozens of photos of big (even huge) animals, I seem to have people with bold opinions sounding off all around me and I never pass up a classic car show … love those beauties.

You get my point!

It may be that none of these things move you … but without a doubt, there is someone and something that is “demonstratively present” in your world that truly dominates your heart and your emotions as well.

There is a reality here that I want us to learn and lean into …

A Love That Is Demonstratively Present … Will Always Be Sincere, Selfless, Sacrificial!
The love of my family is “demonstratively present” at a level that I can not really explain … honestly, my vocabulary limits me. This family love is precious …. and is the most sincere, selfless and sacrificial physical love that I have ever known.

It literally has no equal in that realm.

Then, when we go on to speak of eternal, enduring love … there is only one name that can be spoken … Jesus.

I love what is written for us in Romans 5:6-8, “You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. *But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.*

There is no love that is more profound or powerful.

A love like this will always be divinely inspired, dearly treasured and desperately needed.

Most importantly, it will always be directly tied to surrender!

Jesus gave it all up in life to provide for us a love that is demonstratively present … which assures us that we must give it all up in life to offer God’s love to the world around us.

His commitment becomes our call!

Daunting I know … but it is ours.

I am in … and you?
